Federally Qualified Health Centers

Through our partnership with Urban Health, we opened a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHCs) at our Tres Puentes building. Later this year, in partnership with the Institute for Family Health, we plan to open a second FQHC at WSFSSH at West 108th. Urban Health’s centers offer essential medical services to both our residents and the neighboring community–from adult and pediatric care to specialized services like mental health and eye care. Our centers also provide vital support services such as health education, nutrition guidance, and assistance with health insurance enrollment, ensuring holistic care for our community members.

New York City Cooling Centers

Our older adult centers are designated New York City cooling centers to provide respite for people in the neighborhood and their small pets during heat emergencies. Hours of our centers are extended, including in the weekends, as determined by the heat emergency. In addition to regular cooling center services, we welcome small pets and often provides snacks and/or meals for people who come.
